I am a Tracy, California-based photographer, and photography instructor at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts here in Tracy... with a long-standing (from 1980) passion for the camera. (07-2023 -  I'm teaching a Beg/Int photo class in Tracy, starting this Thursday, for 5 weeks. Contact me if interested.)

New images are being rotated into my portfolio.

I am accepting paid photographic work - portrait, model portfolio, artists, theatrical portraits, bands, commercial sessions on contract work - with reasonable rates for hire, based upon a strong 30-year experience base with the aesthetic and technical aspects of creating effective photography.

For model-involved photography, I appreciate someone possessing the gift of life, with the self-confident passion to express it, and the desire to bring other aspects of their creative background - dance, music, theater/drama, art/photography, etc. - out to convey a mood, to find inspiration, or explore a concept. I appreciate the gifts of spontaneous improvisation and of imagination in building a collaborative rapport. I like to be inspired, and jazzed about the collaboration. If we can't come up with something unique for a portfolio that stands out or stands apart from the rest of the photos, then there's something missing in the rapport...simply adding "just another empty pretty picture" isn't strong reason enough to schedule a photoshoot.

** I am NOT providing paid-modeling work.

** Yes, I'm accepting limited TFCD work where opportunities are worthwhile. I don't have an interest in glamor or studio work, I do have an interest in more 'character" driven imagery, in collaboration with creative and expressive individuals.

** Yes, I am willing to work with beginning models looking to start building a portfolio and experience, on a TF* basis, as schedules and arrangements permit.

** I frequently have models and other creative individuals (musicians, artists, dancers, photographers, actors) in my photo classes for the students to work with, in/around the Grand Theatre ...all public settings in the restored historic building, NO nude work...
