The EDM Spring Classic, presented by FLAVOR Clothing, returns in style this March with its second annual showing. After 2011's success, this local fashion competition is looking to step up its game.

Doors open at 7 pm., Saturday, March 24th, 2012 at Oil City Roadhouse, 10736-Jasper Ave, where visitors will be greeted by complimentary appetizers and desserts. Especially eager fashion fans can take advantage of Early Bird Drink Specials before 9 pm. and take in the runway fashion show – where Edmonton designers will show off their spring lines – from 7-8:30 pm.

“But the real show starts at nine,” said Wade Tompkins of FLAVOR Clothing, “when our competitors will roll out the night's showpieces.”

Eight up-and-coming fashion designers including Heather Emily, Laura Molina, and more will each present a single extravagant and elaborate outfit on a single talented model. The fierce competition will be presided over by a panel of expert judges including designers Ali from Sukha Clothing and Kelly from Kelly Madden Clothing, bloggers Marie from Marie a la Mode and Janis from Dress Me Dearly. Together with audience acclaim, this panel will decide the grand prize winner.

“We're really pushing our boundaries this year,” said FLAVOR co-founder Brendan Ryder. “The first Spring Classic offered a good introductory look at what Alberta has to offer, but now we are working with the top names in the local scene.”

In addition to the high-profile judging team, this includes performances from the exciting dance crew Bad Bitch Mentality, who will ensure the party stays high energy.

“We're just excited to give Albertans their yearly reminder of how stylish they can be,” said Tompkins.
