About Me

BeSheba Barnes

Born in Chicago, IL Besheba (Sheba) Barnes moved to Milwaukee, WI around the age of 3yrs old. As she got older she found a passion in singing at a very early age. She even started writing her first song at 12yrs old titled “G.A.M.E.”

Naturally, BeSheba joined the local church choir where it was noticed by her peers that she could sing very well. This praise from them fueled her passion in singing and made her want to be heard by everyone. She would sing so much until her sisters would try to get her to stop but she just couldn’t.

As BeSheba got older and enrolled in Lynn and Harry Bradley Tech High School she took advantage of their singing coarse to hone her talent as she still continued to write songs. These same songs would come into play later because after graduating High School BeSheba started taking her singing very seriously. She started working hard to make her passion her career.

When asked, “Why do you sing?” BeSheba promptly responds, “I sing for those without a voice. Those who go through what I’ve been through and maybe more but are unable to speak up for themselves. I also sing to empower women and to serenade men. I just love music. It makes me happy when I’m sad, it encourages people to really think about their situation. This is what I was born to do!”

Lots of people say, “This is what I was born to do.” But you believe BeSheba because of how hard she works. Working her regular job during the day to support her 2 children Nazier and Naziah. Then working her passion for singing at night by singing her own songs wherever and whenever she can.
BeSheba’s catalog of songs range from one end of the spectrum to the other. From the Hip-Hop club smash “Put the Camera on me!” to “You got it” that’s R&B to gospel with “Praise You” to even Country music with “Drizzle”. BeSheba’s versatility is very apparent.
It was asked of her, “What do you want your fans to take away from your music?” She said, “The enjoyment of good music. The way it makes you laugh sometimes but can also touch your soul. I want my fans to enjoy a new style of music because my CD offers a bit of everything from R&B, Rock, Neo Soul, Country and Gospel.”
