About Me

First and foremost, thanks for taking the time to stop by and view my work...I hope you enjoy what you see!  My name is Al and I’m a Las Vegas-based, published, international master Chiaroscuro, Boudoir, Fashion, Figurative Fine Art, and Glamour photographer.  As a photographer I believe in diversity, my projects have NO body-type, height requirements, piercing or tattoo restrictions, nor ethnicity preferences.  I shoot beauty in all its forms; And see beauty in all its forms!

TF* is always an option and I’m aware many new models simply do not have the funds available, plus I enjoy assisting new models create and evolve their portfolios and their craft.  I look forward to working with both new and established models to further evolve our portfolios and travel frequently to: Arizona, California, Colorado, Oregon, and Wyoming

While I am most widely known for my Fine Art, I am shooting all-styles, just ask even if you don’t see it in my port.  Please take a look at my portfolio and if my work fits your vision, feel free to contact me.  I always have a couple of projects in the works and the next few years will be no different.

CURRENT PROJECTS:

- “Metal-Flake Body Art;
- “Bodyscapes", solo and multi-person.  I will always shoot this style, it’s what I'm known for and asked to shoot most often;
- “Projected Pixels".  I will continue to shoot this projector art project for the foreseeable future;
- “Cover Nothing” is a new anti-censorship/ body-positive Editorial project; and
- Additionally, I have a list of several new projects I’d like to shoot in 2020/2021.

I also love hearing the model's ideas as well and am very open to them...it is YOUR portfolio after all!  So, if you:

- have something you'd like to shoot, or
- is lacking in your port,
- or you see something in my port you'd like to shoot

Please let me know and feel free to send any "inspirational" images you may find online to me either here or to the email below.  They help me better visualize what you're trying to capture.

MY MISSION: To create photographs which cause the viewer to experience my images in the following ways:

Emotionally: They should be appealing to or arouse your emotions.
Intimately:  They should evoke a very warm and friendly feeling.
Provokingly:  They should feel charged, edgy, exciting, piquing, provocative, stimulating!
Revolutionary:  They should bring about a major or fundamental change to photography.
Sensually:  They should produce physical and/or sexual pleasure when viewing.

My creative journey began as far back as I can remember.  I've been shooting various styles of photography for nearly 40-years.  I'm a bit of a Renaissance-man, a creative thinker who's been involved in art and music my whole life.  I come from a creative family of authors, musicians, painters, and sculptors to name a few; this had a huge influence on me.  My first paid photo shoot was at the age of 16 and I’ve not stepped away from the camera since.

Some of my photographic influences have been, and continue to be:
Ansel Adams (http://anseladams.com/);
Richard Avedon (https://www.avedonfoundation.org/);
Robert Capa (https://www.magnumphotos.com/photographer/robert-capa/);
Victor Demarchelier (http://victordemarchelier.net/);
Patrick Di Fruscia (http://www.difrusciaphotography.com/);
Russell James (https://russelljames.com/);
Sebastian Kim (http://www.sebastiankim.com/);
Annie Leibovitz (http://portfolioone.com/photographers/annie-leibovitz/);
Joe McNally (https://portfolio.joemcnally.com/index);
Helmut Newton (https://www.icp.org/browse/archive/constituents/helmut-newton?all/all/all/all/0);
Herb Ritts (http://www.herbritts.com/); and
Bruce Weber (https://www.bruceweber.com/) to name a few.  I believe in making my own road but use their work for inspiration rather than emulation.

Thank you for your time and consideration, I look forward to hearing from you and working together soon.

Talk soon,

Al

He really has an eye for angles and lighting, apparent in the shots he produces. We created a story through the images, unlike what I've done before, adding context, emotion, and life to the final pieces. I would love to work with him again!" Read less
