Hi, I'm Elvee, Chicago based portrait artist and illustrator. Over the years I have created thousands of images, from icons to billboards, CD covers to editorial pieces, fashion sketches and fine arts.
For three seasons 3 large posters from my series on "Fitness and Exercise" had been a part of the set decor in gym scenes on "The New Adventures of Old Christine", a CBS sitcom.

During the first part of the 1990's- I created many airbrush illustrations of beautiful women celebrities that were commissioned and published in PLAYBOY Magazine- among them, my favorite-Janet Jackson and Rickie Lee Jones. Always fascinated by portraits, couple of years ago, I started creating these dual profile paintings and silhouettes.
Each artwork consist of two mirror images, in complimentary OR contrasting colors in different hues depending on clients home decor -if they are to be framed and hanged on the walls in the client's personal space, or to incorporate your company palette.

I'm very strongly influenced by Art Deco master Erte, Art Nouveau genius A. Mucha, the 80's star Patrick Nagel and number of NEW VISION artists I had a chance to see when I lived in LA few years ago. Every image is carefully hand drawn with a pen on a tablet-no shortcuts or Photoshop tricks here! The standard 12"x18" or 11"x14" portrait is life-size and fits in a popular 16"x20" frame. I also create highly stylized, contemporary silhouettes in various sizes from
miniatures to posters.
