Growing up as a competitive dancer I knew how to put on a full face of stage makeup by myself by the age of 10. I was constantly playing with my makeup kit and as the years went on I fell more and more in love with the art of makeup. I was amazed at the power of the transformation, and loved that there were zero no limits to what I could do with makeup.
It wasn’t until I reached high school that I realized I could turn my passion and love for makeup into a career. I was determined and began esthetician school during my senior year. After graduating from Marinello School of Beauty with my esthetician’s license I had learned so much about skin care, but didn’t learn as much about makeup as I had hoped I would. Though I was happy to have my license under my belt, I needed and wanted more! I was determined to find and attend the best of the best makeup school, and that’s exactly what I did! I leaped right in to the 5 month program studying makeup in Fashion, Film, Television, Multimedia, and Character/FX, as well as hairstyling at MUD (Makeup Designory) in Burbank, California.
After graduating I went on to work for Benefit cosmetics, MAC, and as an independent freelance makeup artist. While working as an independent makeup artist I’ve worked on sets of many photo shoots, and music videos, as well as special events such as weddings, debutante, and proms. I’ve worked with multiple magazines, photographers, and designers, as well as charity events and campaigns. Currently I am a senior makeup artist for Butterfli Me Makeup Studio in Irvine, CA.
