Tommy J Reyes is a Chicago based photographic artist. He is currently working at Lillstreet Art Center. His most recent work includes a series of large scale constructed set photographs entitled Memoria Mediadas y el Archivo (English translation: Mediated Memories and the Archive). This work explores the idea of memory and loss through motifs present in magical-real literature and Mexican religious iconography. He is currently working on a new series of constructed set photographs which explore every day Mexican culture in America inspired by the neighborhood in which he grew up and currently resides
