I am a fine art and portrait photographer based in Seattle, Washington.

I graduated with a degree in English Literature from the University of Washington in 1999. Ten years later, I picked up my camera and began a photography project called 365 Days. During this project, I took a self-portrait every day for an entire year. While the project started out as a fun experiment to document "a day in the life", it quickly grew into a passion for creating images that are meant to tell a deeper story, elicit emotion and encourage dialogue.

I aim to take a fresh look at the landscape around me by playing with color (and lack thereof) and composition to create a dream-like state. I want to challenge the viewer to see these vistas in a new way - rooted in reality, but enhanced by imagination.

Today, my interests are wide and varied. While I work in digital photography, I have recently begin to challenge myself by experimenting with film and large format photography techniques.

I have exhibited my work in Los Angeles, Tucson, Seattle and Olympia, Wash.
