Hi, thank you for checking out my profile I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoyed writing it.

***About Me***
My name is Michael Larsen I am 23 years old and I am an aspiring photographer, I got into photography at about 15 years old when I studied photography in year 10 I also did it in year 11 and 12. I then went on to tafe to study Multimedia I have completed certificate IV and a Diploma in Multimedia. I am now studying a Bachelor of Media Arts Majoring in Film and Television and a minor in Drama as I now have aspirations to get into film directing hopefully I'll some day be making feature films I'll always love photography I'm just expanding my horizons. I have been doing photography seriously now for about 2 and a half years and I really enjoy the creative freedom it gives me and I have enjoyed meeting new people and I have met a lot of new people from this site. I am here to collaborate with awesome and creative people who are looking to build their portfolio and would be interested in letting me shoot them to improve my portfolio as well as theirs most importantly.

I am very easy to get along with I am laid back I generally like to meet or at least talk with the Model, MUA, Hairstylist etc before the shoot just to ensure that we all get along and relate to each other and can have a joke and a laugh together so the shoot isn't so tense and awkward because I hate being in tense awkward situations. Also because if we can't get along and relate to each other then come the shoot there's just this awkward tension in the air and it shows in the images and we all end up with images of average quality that could have been way better and in the end we've all just wasted our precious time.

But don't fear as I said I am very easy to get along with so you have nothing to worry about. I also try to be as professional as I possibly can on the shoot as I do want to build up a very good reputation with everybody I work with so the people who work with me then go on and recommend me to their friends.

***What Do I Mainly Shoot***
I’m doing glamour fashion portraiture style shoots at the moment but I would love to get into weddings, formal occasions, family portraits, baby photos, band shoots, live gigs and I would also definitely love to do editorial work as well. I am also looking to do some bigger and more creative themed shoots as well as I do find just doing glamour and portrait style shoots repeatedly can get very boring. I have a very creative mind and I do tend to think of ideas that are outside the box.

***My Style***
I love doing themed shoots as with themed shoots I find it is much easier to capture the exact feel of the image, as I know exactly what it is I need to portrait in the photograph. Artistic sort of themes are what I really love themes that tell a story with every photograph I don't just want to be known as a photographer I want to be known as a photographic artist. I get my inspiration and ideas from all different kinds of sources such as music, movies, tv, I take inspiration from what other artists have done and take the bits and pieces I like from that piece of work and incorporate it into my own unique image. I love doing dark twisted sort of themes but I am versatile, as I believe versatility is important in a portfolio so I am open to any suggestions.

I consider myself to be a revolutionary, as I do not see art as well as life the same way most people see it, most people see everything in the "Black or White" sense. In the sense that it is either black or white one or the other there is no middle ground or sitting on the fence. I completely 110 percent DISAGREE with this view I believe in a thing called "The Grey Zone" nothing is ever black or white it is either black, white or grey. Greys are what make life fun and exciting and I think this is what makes me different from all the other artists out there the fact that I see greys and that is what I want to be known for I want to be known for pushing the greys in art making people think. I want to be known as a revolutionary artist whose work caused an uproar and a lot of controversy and an artist who did not care what other people thought about his work or him as a person. I pretty much would like to be known as the Marilyn Manson of the fashion photographic world.

I love to push boundaries especially boundaries that haven’t been pushed before and boundaries that nobody would go near because they’re afraid of the criticism they'€™ll receive. I love doing stuff that’s controversial as it demands attention and I have a few ideas for shoots that could definitely cause a bit of controversy. As this is what gets you noticed especially in a world where almost everything has been done before pushing boundaries is what makes people take notice of you.

To quote Heath Ledgers Joker €œ"Introduce a little anarchy. Upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos. I a€™m an agent of chaos. Oh, and you know the thing about chaos? It'€™s fair!" That pretty much sums me and the way I see art in general up in a nutshell. It is because people have upset the established order that the world has become an exciting place without people pushing boundaries breaking rules and crossing lines we have a very dull plain and boring looking world. That’s not just in the modelling world that can relate to anything really.

***My Prices & Conditions***
Lets just get one thing straight I do NOT!!! pay for models if anybody should be paying anybody it should be the model paying me. SO if you are looking for paid assignments only then don't bother contacting me unless you are willing to work something out.

$50 for a 1-2 hour shoot with me you will receive 15 edited photographs on disc plus the originals to the edited ones so all together you receive 30 photographs.

$100 for a 2-3 hour shoot with me and you will receive 20 edited photographs on disc plus the originals to the edited ones so you receive 40 photographs all together.

$150 for a 3-4 hour shoot with me and you receive 25 edited photographs on disc plus the originals to the edited ones so all together you receive 50 edited photos.

P.S I will ask for a deposit of 50% which is NON REFUNDABE I will accept payments by instalments if you cannot pay the full sum upfront. And I will ask for the money to be paid to me before the shoot takes place even if it is just a deposit on an instalment and if you are paying by instalments the deposit can be negotiated. I also will require the model to sign a model release form which will give me all rights to the photographs.

***Cancellation***
If you need to cancel a shoot with me please notify me be it via text message or phone call no later than the day before our scheduled time and we can reschedule. I will only allow one rescheduling to take place so make sure it's on a day you will definitely be able to attend otherwise you will have to pay me again.

***TF Shoots***
I will only shoot TF shoots provided all parties are benefitted from it so I don't have to pay you and you don't have to pay me and we all get a copy of the photographs, if I like the concept or I have a concept in mind that you would be perfect for. And also provided that I like what I see in your portfolio.

But please do not be afraid to ask me for a TF* shoot it's not like I'm gonna bite if you do lol. If you message me about a TF* shoot I will look at your portfolio and if I like what I see then I will say yes. But this does not mean that I will say yes to everybody who asks for a TF* shoot and also if I message you about a shoot and you only do TF* then I will also accept a TF* condition.

***What I look For In A Model***
I mainly look for someone with a different unique look and someone who is open to ideas as it really helps to be an open-minded person. Also it helps if they’re easy to get along with and can have fun.

Also someone that is reliable and commits 100% to a photoshoot so if we schedule a photoshoot on a certain day I expect you to be 100 percent committed to that shoot and to being there. If you need to cancel a shoot with me I expect a notice either via text message or phone call no later than the day before the shoot.

***Equipment List***
I am now working with a Nikon D5000 DSLR camera a Nikon AF-S DX VR 55-200mm f/4-5.6 lens and a Nikon AF-S DX VR 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 lens and a Nikon S600 external flash.

If you wish to obtain a copy of a photograph from a shoot with me without the watermark logo I will ask what it is going to be for and I may ask for a small sum of money for it depending on the reason.

I edit all of my photos myself as I am also reasonably talented in photoshop.

***Reviews From People I have Worked With***
- Makeup Masterpiece said: Hi Michael, thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you it was awesome you were great & easy going. The next shoot is going to be awesome.

- THERENEGADEKILLERBEE said: Working with michael was a fun experience, he keeps you up to date with his ideas and is very passionate about them. The theme for our shoot was something i haven't really done before (What about the Earth) so it made it much more interesting. He gave me a really good idea of what the shoot was about and its meaning, and how i should express myself thorugh the camera. He puts alot of effort into to his shoots and makes them happen. He was quick to edit my photos which is always great because im eager to see how they turn out. Another thing i like about Michael is that during the shoot he allows the model to see how the photos turn out, when he takes them, that way you can see for yourself how to position your body the best. I wish michael all the best and hope he gets some eager models and photographers/ MUA's to help him out and make his talent shine even more. I would always be keen to work with him again. His ideas are brilliant."
