Gabe Sheen studied photography in Academy of Art, San Francisco. Sheen’s works have been featured in contests, solo/group exhibitions, and magazines both in the States and in Europe over forty times. Sheen is interested in the idea of human origins and nature because these questions are inherent in his notion of self. Being influenced emotionally by Frida Kahlo (1907~1954)'s paintings and stylistically by Marc Chagall (1887~1985)'s lithographs, Sheen mainly talks about himself through his unique photographic style and process. His primary medium is the arduous tricolor Gum Dichromate Process based on modern technologies of color separation and digital negatives, which provides handmade, rare, and watercolor beauty.
