My name is Gemma, and I'm a 23 year old photographer.

I currently shoot using a Nikon D3000, and although a range of lenses is obviously best, i tend to find my 70 - 300 is a good all-rounder.

I work mostly on location, preferring natural to studio light. My work to date has been primarily character portraits, taken at events such as war weekends and theme days.

With the help of this site and models in it I hope to expand my photography to fashion shoots, and gothic / fetish portraits.

I take inspiration from photographers such as Henri Cartier-Bresson for his wonderful spontaneous shots (the start of "candid" in my eyes) and Richard Avedon for his minimalist shots. True examples of character in every shot.
