I am interested in finding models for doing fine art photography; "glamour" shots do not interest me and I'll leave it at that. Generally, I prefer to do natural light work; however, I have been experimenting with some flash techniques and am enjoying this new tool. I come from a goth/punk/industrial background, so a lot of my ideas and inspirations come from those genres. Additionally, I am heavily influenced by symbolism, the occult, and the subconscious.

I do this because I love photography, not because it's making me rich. I have a day job, just like most everyone else. Given this, I will not pay for a model to work with me. However, the pictures that I take can be used as needed in your portfolio.

As for what I am looking for in models:

1) I like models that have a unique look. Tattoos, crazy-colored hair, and strange make-up are all interesting to me. If you've got some weird or alternative stuff in your wardrobe, even better.
2) I am looking for a willingness to do some rather strange stuff. By this, I mean that I would like people who are not afraid to go without a coat in the winter, walk around some of the "rougher" parts of the city, that kind of thing.
3) I need to establish a repertoire with the model I am working with. Our communication during the picture taking process needs to be two-way, as I want elements of your personality to shine through in the pictures.

I should note that I do very minimal (if any) post-processing on my photos. While this may work to the model's disadvantage, I'd rather have honest images than "pretty" images. This goes hand-in-hand with the fact that I am not a "glamour" photographer.
