About Me

I've always found it difficult to toot my own horn especially when it comes to creativity. I am blessed simply with talent and more over imagination. I have forgotten more than I have created, which is a wonderful place to be. Creativity is a blessing and a curse, but it's a lovely necklace. I am a mixed media artist. I create them as I see them.

I started as a very young boy, about the time I could hold a pencil.I went to Catholic School and was fascinated by the dynamic imagery of Jesus on the cross. I must have drawn it at least one hundred times, and illustrating large breasted topless nuns being chased by lizard men in my composition book, not knowing my first grade teacher, Sister Francis, would collect them for review. I thought I was a dead little boy, she told me to stay after class, and to my surprise I was not going to Hell for all eternity. She gently told me that there's a time and place for everything and the drawings in my composition book was not the place. No discussions of damnation, shrinks nothing, not even my mom was told, just a smile and on my way. Thank you Sister Francis!

Later on I was fascinated, like most boys with Playboy, especially Vargas. Even later still, Frank Frazetta, Roger Dean, and Salvadore Dali among others. As a teenager I would buy Edgar Rice Burroughs, Tarzan and other paperbacks of his and copy Frazettas' paintings in charcoal. My skills improved immensely. I attended The Maryland Institute College of Art from 1977 to 1981 where I majored in Lithography and Silkscreen. It's still the best years of my life, total freedom, total new, total everything. Even though I was in the same city, I was in a new universe. I fell into my own. I found my own style! That is what art is all about Charlie Brown! I can go on forever and I will.
Lately I've been working on my drawings and sculptures. I purchased a Nikon D-80 a few years ago and I love it! I would love to get back into my photo aspect of my work but it hasn't been easy. Models are difficult to find and with the internet deceit flourishes. I had my own business in L.A. and I very well. I did headshots, and portfolios for models and actors while pursuing my art photos.I would be interested in shooting again.
My goal is to create a more original slant on pinup and soft erotica. Surreal with soft sexy beauty with a sense of humor and a healthy dash of Vogue with both my art and photography.
