My name is Jade Brewer. This is me finally starting my goals as a freelance photographer. I photograph anything and everything. I have done local bands, shoots of my friends as models and I have done photography for the 6 Degrees Salon in Portsmouth NH. I am also working on scheduling some promos for local bands in my hometown.

I am currently a Freshman at Montserrat College of Art so I don't have any fancy credentials or famous people to have as a reference. I have some difficulties with transportation. I cannot drive, but if I can afford it I can pay for gas for a model to come to me. I am also new in the Beverly, Boston, Salem area so I also don't know of many good places. What I look for in my models is creativity. I don't like to really boss my models around to form the photograph. I give them the theme and generally what I am looking for in my series and I let the models do the rest. I do like to do things like have my models climb trees, and stand in high places. (I am afraid of heights too so just let me know if anything makes you uncomfortable about being up high =]) I am a very easy person to work with. I look for style in my models and I like my models to show their own style in the photographs. I can also be hired if someone would like to do a shoot as a model. Generally my rates at the moment are strictly for transportation and printing. I am not really charging for time and effort in the shoot being as I am focusing more on getting my work out there and people interested. I do not have access to professional studio equipment yet, but I am good at using natural light and make-shift backdrops. I generally like to shoot contrasts. (i.e. punk style in the woods, hippie in the city, etc.) I dont edit my photos unless they really need it. I try to stay within the realms of traditional photography and not photo-manipulation.

I am here to begin my career. I don't have a lot of money for hiring models and I am currently looking to do a shoot for a charity art event put on by a friend. The theme is All For The Wiser. The general idea of my photographs will be to make a series of something I would like to change for this upcoming year. The event is in january and this would be a great way to get mine, and my model's name out there.
