Moment of Silence is a menswear brand started by American fashion designer Elaix Vincent. Vincent is also the creative director of this brand. Vincent's fashion background started in his hometown Cleveland, Ohio where he started making clothing in high school for school fashion shows. After graduating from high school, he then moved to New York City to attend fashion design school. He then attended and graduated from Katharine Gibbs School in 2007. After freelancing for a bit, Vincent attended The Fashion Institute of Technology where he took on additional non-degree classes to perfect his pattern making and sewing construction skills. Shortly after attending F.I.T. he enrolled in LIM College to learn and focus on the business part of fashion. After graduating from LIM College with his bachelors degree in fashion merchandising in 2015, Elaix started his first label named Moment of Silence.

Elaix Vincent has over 12 years of design experience and has contributed designs to brands such as Calvin Klein Outerwear, Guess Outerwear, Tommy Hilfiger, and Elie Tahari for G-III Apparel. His freelance and associate design experience includes designing for brands Laundry by Shelli Segal, Yansi Fugel, Heatherette, Liquid Knits, and Patrizia Luca.

On February 1, 2016, Moment of Silence brand showed its first collection during New York Fashion Week Men's. The fashion presentation was held at Chelsea's chic Loft 29 on West 29th between 10th and 11th Avenues. He was also featured on the CFDA Calendar which brought a lot of attention to this new brand.
