I seek to capture real moments in my pictures, something more than just an arrangement of light and colors. I want there to be a connection between the subject and the viewer, an engagement.

I have been shooting, for myself, since high school. My primary influences are the street photographers, and documentarians.

Up to now, my work has been unplanned -- bands, parties, celebrations, stage performances -- including the unguarded moments offstage. Now, I am looking to develop some skills in controlling the environment for an image.

I have shown work in Mobius (Boston, MA) as part of a week-long themed exhibit/performance. I have also shown at Alphabet City Soup in New York City, and the Electric Moustache Gallery in Winston-Salem, NC.
