Hi there y'all, im Cher, im about all things creative and surreal. I have up untill this year, pretty much made and sold everything from my dining room table, experimenting and picking up new tricks as i went along. After a good few exciting commissions, i have not only been able to upsticks and move from my hometown Manchester to the more free thinking and liberating Brighton, but also update to all new state of the art studio equiptment...and what a difference it makes, i may as well as used a knife and fork to sew previously.
I am also a professional fine artist, selling my canvas's in galleries across the UK and also working as a commisioned illustrator. Ive always been the girl behind the work, never really one for promotion, but with the help of a small team, my company Cherry Ridiculous is now able to get out there and produce fabulous things to buy directly as well as still offering private bespoke garments made to measure.

Couture and costume are the two aspects of design i live for. My background is centred in fine art and theatre and with a life-time of work in these fields, it certainly fits that my garment design work should also be taken to artistic extremes. There are no limits and creativity should adhere to no rules. With that said i do believe you need to know the rules in order to ignore them, so my design work and label are backed with training to near obsessive levels with years almost chained to a sewing machine never seeing the daylight.
I design pieces that do not exist and cannot be found, mixing couture techniques and fabrics not often used, fine tailoring with blatent drapery.
