If you are looking for fresh, creative and innovative artwork… you’ve come to the right place. The Man Behind the Brush is Eric McLaurin. Eric was born and raised in Hampton, Virginia, USA. In July 2009 he relocated to New York City (by way of Washington, DC) to pursue his passion in Makeup and take the industry by storm. What better place to make it happen than in the Fashion Capitol of The World.



Fascinated by Glamour and Fashion, Eric decided to try his hand in makeup. Mr. McLaurin was educated and trained by a Professional MAC Makeup Artist. During his first session, after given basic makeup direction, the instructor painted one side of the model’s face and he completed the other side. Amazed that the two sides matched to perfection, the artist asked, “Are you sure you never did makeup before? You are a natural talent!”



To date, Eric is inspired and influenced by 3 of the most well known celebrity makeup artists in the business (Sam Fine, Merrell Hollis, & Lazarus Jean-Baptiste).
