Popular gossip Web site Bossip is making another gay accusation in the hip-hop community. The site is fueling rumors that Trey Songz, the Grammy-nominated singer who recently scored a hit with his suggestively-titled songs 'Say Ahh' and 'Invented Sex,' is allegedly openly bisexual. Last year Bossip contended that R&B newcomer Drake was also gay when this off-the-wall photo surfaced.
According to a "trusted source," Trey has been dating men since 2004, and was in a serious relationship with an "industry professional" named Brandon Hines, who can be seen with R&B singer here. The two men worked together in 2004 and are said to have been in a relationship for six or seven months.
The Web site further claims that their "source says that Trey is versatile and can be both a giver and receiver depending on his partner," and that, while he continues to sleep with men, he also sleeps with women.
We can neither confirm nor disprove the rumor, however Bossip is adamant that their source "is very reliable and had full evidence to back up their claims." In either event, Trey Songz' third album ' Ready' was released last year, and it's pretty catchy.
A loyal reader of Sandra Rose has just outed Trey Songz, claiming the âladies manâ and aspiring sex symbol is in fact bisexual.
She writes:
I asked around and itâs [sic] some truth behind one of his male lovers. Now you know Iâm gonna kick you these beats like no other. Ok so B is saying Trey had a relationship with underground singer Brandon Hines. But what they didnât say was Brandon Hines went to Howard Univ around â05-07 time frame and everyone on campus knew he was trying to be a recording artist AND that he lived a secret alternative lifestyle. He and Trey have been friends under the radar recording and hanging together tough. I never put two and two together until being reminded of it today. My source said they think the two met at one of Howardâs homecomings in â05 or â06 but they are NOT 100% that is where they first met each other.
