I am an advanced amateur with no delusions of grandeur. I will not become the next great fashion photographer. I will remain a very competent photographer who demands of himself to provide the highest quality work achievable under the working conditions available.
I am a physicist by profession, and the hobby of photography provides a bridge between my technical life and my personal life. Photography provides me with an opportunity to utilize what little spare time I have to work in a field that requires non stop learning.
So far my style has been primarily strong lighting, with a play between light and shadow. I like strong, crisp side light, and I like to try to get a good amount of "attitude" from my models.
I am hoping that through Model Mayhem I will have the opportunity to work with talented models and learn a variety of styles, while at the same time, providing the models with quality material for their portfolios.
