About Me

Hi. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Good chance I shot you an invite and you'd like to know more. It's not easy to paint a comprehensive picture, but I'll give it a try. For work samples, check out my website. I'll be adding some relevant work here soon, but selectively.

First, I'm a seasoned pro. Started in Fashion/Glamour/Beauty. I was mentored, assisted a few of the best, and as a young photographer published in the US and Europe (Lived in Berlin for a decade). That's when I shifted into a long stint in the motion picture industry. Although I still work with writers and mentor young filmmakers, about 12 years ago I decided to return full-time to my first love. I was fortunate to cut out a little corner of the sandbox in Travel, Commercial Landscape, and Architecture photography. By no means my only interests, but a place where I could do what I love and make a decent living.

Last year, I moved home to NE Florida. Frankly, COVID prompted a reevaluation of priorities. A familiar story, and in my case, one that brought me closer to family. Naturally, Travel and film work shutdown overnight, so another pivot has led my career toward personal and commercial work in new (and old) areas of interest. I guess we'll see where this goes!

So, this is me stepping out of my niche, dusting off the Model Mayhem profile, and starting to build some new relationships in old stomping grounds. The work will be a little different, but my needs are fundamentally the same. There doesn't seem to be as much traffic here as I remember... But I'm still hoping to meet some great people.

I'd like to know regional Models (and representation), Stylists, MU Artists, Photography Assistants, Set Designers, Fashion Designers... basically anyone who supports set production (or wants to be better). Same goes for Photographers. I don’t really care about experience levels as much as I care about a passion for the work. I don’t care as much about past work as where you want be in the future. I will always want to be better. I want to be surrounded and support people who want to be better.

Circling back to the film industry... I’m a large set and location production expert. I’ve managed crews from 3 to… God. So many. 150+. As motion is playing a larger and larger role for photographers, if my experience can help someone in any way, consider this an open invitation to talk about your situation/needs. Even though I've scaled back the scope of my projects, I really enjoy the large set and helping interesting creators smoothly transition to the next level. I have always been told I have a gift for creating a safe place for art to happen. I’m kinda proud of that.

There are a few things I'm NOT looking for:

1.) Photo Finishers or Retouchers: I do my own post, so I will give little or no attention to work requests. Sorry, but I'm an accomplished editor and there just isn't a world where I will hire you. If you're local and want to buy me a beer... I might reply. But be exceptional. I'll judge you by your work. To a slightly smaller degree… your sense of humor.

2.) Traveling Talent. Your business model doesn't fit with my process. I'm pretty sure I appreciate what you do. It's not an easy gig. I'm also sure you would enjoy working with me. It’d be refreshing considering the uncertainty and general BS you have to navigate. For client work; you’re coming to me through representation. For personal work; I'm working with someone I know and have worked with I the past. Probably many times. If you're in town for the weekend or “passing through” ... it’s a waste of both of our times. I value mine. I expect you value yours.

I’ll leave it at that. If anything about my approach seems interesting, I welcome a conversation. Reach out or reply and I’ll get right back to you.
