Just moved to New Orleans to get my masters in fine art photography and would love to meet new models and creatives to collaborate with. Experience includes over 10 years or portraiture work, digital, medium format, darkroom, natural light, and studio.

Projects I worked on/am working on:

Skylar’s latest series 100 Women: The Perception of Beauty, received the Artist Enrichment grant from the Kentucky Women’s Foundation in 2015 and the Artist grant from LexArts in 2016. Through their support she has successfully exhibited the series in two Kentucky cities with plans for a third. A year was spent photographing 100 women of all races, ages, and background. Interviews were conducted to be
displayed. This was to exhibit how these women truly felt about their beauty, media’s effect on them, and advice for other women.

Feeling Myself was selected for the PRHBTN showcase at Lexington Art League.
Feeling Myself, a mixed media series, pays homage to the woman and her self
explorative power. Sexual imagery sourced from porno mags with a diverse group of
women’s bodies cut against scrapbook paper. Scrapbook paper was selected as the
primary medium as a nod to the artifice of sexual retirement once a woman enters
traditional roles. Commonly in Appalachia, women fancy the “indulgence” of
scrapbooking alongside titles like mother, grandmother and wife.
