My name is Javier Rivera. I'm a photographer based in Puerto Rico. Also I'm an architecture student at The New School of Architecture in the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico. In part this is why context, evidently recognized or not in a photograph, is important for my images. The person photographed must let their immediate context influence them. Be it that they are inspired to embark on playful movement or restful stillness any of these categories of movement determines a specific personality and state of mind My aim focuses on making photographs out of those particular moments.

Most of my photography work is focused on people, mostly on location portraits. I like to let people go through the trouble of choosing their own venue makes their personality and emotion more evident in the end product. But if you're quite worried with making a choice,just tell me what you are looking for, I'll suggest or look for a venue proper to your specifications and needs. I learn throughout every job I do about photography, about life. about people. I intend to keep learning.
