About Me

My name is Clark James Lambert.

Ever since I was a child, I have loved taking photographs. I started taking photographs with disposable and point and shoot cameras at a very young age. One of the largest turning points for me, and my pursuit of the photo arts happened at the age of twelve. I went on a hike with my father up Mount Olympus, in the Ho National Rain Forest, in the North West part of Washington State. While on the hike I happened to have my mother’s 35mm camera with me, with that camera I took a photograph of the Ho River that later became published in the year 2000, in the book "Glimpse Of Yesterday" put out by “www.picture.com”. The publishing of that photograph sparked the fire for my passion for the photographic arts.

In the winter of 2003, I started attending Spokane Falls Community College where I studied photography and the photographic arts for over two years. While studying at SFCC I learned from many a great photography instructor, but even with the wonderful staff of learned professionals I soon learned that the man I would learn the most from would not be an instructor but a Lab Tech that worked in the photography department. This man, whom I would come to call, RL, taught me things that will live in my mind for the rest of my life, not to mention push me and drive me to do better in my artwork.

After studying for nearly three years at SFCC, I took a break from my studies and tried my hand at starting up my own photography business. While doing wedding photography, fashion and modelling photography and also a bit of nature and landscape photography I also wanted to learn more about small business management, I might be a very artistic person but I am also very entrepreneurial and business minded, so I took a few short business management courses and attended a few photography seminars to broaden my knowledge of not only photography but also how to manage a photography business.

After being my own boss and loving it for about two years or so, I ended up moving location and found it hard to restart a business that is largely built on word out mouth. To make a long story short I went into retail and sales and some how ended up getting married and moving to England. I am currently still in retail and will be attending The Arts University College at Bournmouth starting Fall 2011, where I plan to get a BA and maybe an MA but definitely a teaching degree and after I have received my qualifications I plan to move back to American and get a job teaching at a college or university.
Best regards and wishes to you all.
