I am a photographer in my early thirties based in Seattle with nine years of experience. I'm transitioning my photography as an advanced amateur towards more focused and intentional work in pursuit of a second career.

Who I'm Looking to Work With:
I am seeking individual models who are looking to either break into the field or who want to expand their existing portfolios. Most of my recent experience has been with male models that I have known personally. I would love to talk to interested models from all genders and backgrounds. I would like to work with models who are interested in fashion/editorial shoots, portrait work, sports/fitness, and conceptual art shoots. Flexibility in a model to explore purposeful use of nudity, implied or direct, is appreciated, but never a requirement. I want to collaborate with each model I work with to create images that meet their needs, style, and comfort level.

Photographic Style and Philosophy:
I do environmental photo shoots that highlight the model as a component of their setting. Most of my work focuses on artistic themes and physical form. While traditional head/test shots can be a component of a session, my aim is to work with models who are interested in doing avant-garde, conceptual or experimental scenes. I have interest working with all levels of photography including editorial, form/fitness, and fashion (especially modern, indie, and non-traditional). I particularly hope to explore more portraits in industrial settings.

I shy away from "studio" photography with neutral backgrounds, so if a prospective model also has access to inspiring settings, all the better!  My photographs tend to be in black and white or in saturated color with vintage resolution and styling. Almost all of my work relies on natural, ambient lighting. When I use additional lighting its always simple, impromptu lighting that already exists in the location.

I am always looking for new directions in my work and embrace the collaborative process that can occur between photographer and model, and welcome ideas from those who I work with.

Logistics:
All models I work with will receive high resolution access to the final photos from the sessions at no cost. They will also receive the rights to use those photographs for their own use and for the purpose of promoting themselves through use in their portfolios.

I am not accepting offers for paid shoots presently as my primary motivation is to build a more diverse body of work while helping models add unique and non-traditional material to their portfolios through TFP collaboration.
