We live in a visual world. Images are everywhere. The dark and the bright, the angry and the joyful, the extreme and the subtle. The real and the unreal. A picture is said to be worth a thousand words. In truth, there is no equivalent. Images can stir thought, inspire great endeavors, lift a mood or plunge it into the depths of depression. They can entertain, educate, excite. Or they can simply bore. If my statement seems too philosophical, it's not because I'm trying to sound profound or pseudo-intellectual. But truthfully, we are affected every day by what we see. I'd like my images to have effect.
