Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forward.

A paradox? Not exactly.

Retro-style pin-ups are making a comeback because they're intended from the get-go to be flattering on every level. Playboy set the bar at a very high level because Hef wanted only the best photographers (and lighting) in his magazine. 'Nudes by Retroman' seeks to bring back the glory days in a 21st Century setting: shoots are planned, lights are adjusted, and editing is strictly hand-retouching.

Lighting and creativity are at the top of the list. One of my specialties is mixing lighting types; e.g., blacklight and studio strobes. I always enjoy the challenge of shooting within a given environment. I'm a 'graduate' of Shoot The Centerfold lighting seminars.

My goals are to make every shoot a work of art; to bring back the look of the everyday woman who wants to show a side of herself you won't see at the PTA meetings: beautiful, artistic, and sexy.
