I'm currently studying journalism full-time with emphases in public relations at the Universtiy of Wisconsin- Oshkosh. Although far from an amateur on the promotional end of the ladder, I would consider myself fairly inexperienced in the majority of the areas I’ve listed to be of particular interest. The promotional experience I’ve so far gained is an extension of the five years I spent working as a miller girl for Team Enterprise, a marketing team of which specializes in the alcoholic beverage promotion of Leinenkugel, Miller Lite, and other related beverages distributed by Triangle Distribution Co., Inc. These promotions, in which I was often put in charge of overseeing single-handedly, were held in widely ranged geographic regions of which covered the entire Fox Valley and most bordering counties as well. The events varied from celebrity golf outings, Packer Games (visit millerliteendzone.com), restaurants, bars and liquor store samplings. A year of that time I spent working in Chicago covering similarly arranged events, the most germane being a Paroni promotion in which I was elected to work independently at a prestigious taste sampling held annually at Navy Pier. I additionally gained experience working and being elected to travel and orchestrate promotions (via customer request) as a Hooters of Appleton former employee. My photographic experience, on the other hand, is a bit more amateurish when it comes to experience on the other side of the lens. I have, however, completed a great deal of photographic classes as they apply to my journalism major at UW-Oshkosh. Although initially taken as part of a course curriculum, I’ve come to enjoy being on the other side of the lens almost as much as I've always loved being in the focus of it. Having taken a short hiatus from promotional activity, I'm now more excited than ever to get back started again, and to additionally get this lifelong dream of mine further along on its way. I'm always looking to try something new so long as it doesn't involve nudity, and have been said to have a wonderful habit of turning any and everything I touch, whatever venture it is I decide to dabble in, into gold. Seemingly counter-intuitively, however, I bequeath an incredibly deferential disposition and therefore am never too proud to learn from another who is, perhaps, unarguably more experienced than I. I’ve additionally acquired pageant experience, the most relevant of which being my participation in the 2007 Miss Fond du Lac pageant in which I was nominated to receive the best talent award scholarship for the hip-hop dance routine that I choreographed.
