Hello, Model Mayhem!
As a woman who has never been the traditional size 2 or size 4, I have lived for quite a long time thinking modeling would never, ever be a serious career path for someone like me. No amount of dieting could make me that size, and I never was one to resort to crash dieting.
Recently, however, I was introduced to today's standards of the "plus sized model".
My goal for joining Model Mayhem is to explore a career as a "plus sized" model. I am a dress size 10/12, 5' 11", 36 C/D, 31" waist, 40" hips. These measurements are what agencies require from the plus sized divisions.
While I have yet to go for an open call, it will be my next step. I'd like to see what doors open up through this site, and would like to help other aspiring photographers, make up artists, hairstylists and all those wanting to break into this industry.
I thoroughly enjoy being in front of the camera and can't wait to see if my passion turns into something more.
On a personal level, I'm a college educated business owner, and am very responsible and serious when it comes to something I want. I also take good care of myself and work out 5-6 times per week.
