My name is David. I’m a 26 year-old photographer, raised in the Midlands and now based in London.

I’d love to tell you I have an extensive and prolific history in photography, but the truth is I’ve had a go at many different artforms in my life so far. My childhood was dominated by drawing, my teen years by graphic design, and I went on to study fashion at college. Since then I’ve tried my hand at architecture, painting, digital art and a fair bit of creative writing.

These lessons, these mere trials in formats and disciplines, have helped me hone an unending creative passion and a keen eye for beauty. And its now that I can say with confidence: photography is everything I ever wanted from art. Photography is beauty in an instant, a reflection of truth, and a unique expression of the world. Photography is forever. I haven’t been doing it long, but photography has become my one true love.

I currently work in the film industry (location scout) but the ambition is to turn my photography passion into a full-time professional career within three years. So far i have undertaken the following work: family portraiture (mostly children & babies), press & sports reportage (stock imaging for newspapers), corporate wall art (urban landscapes & panoramas), and fashion photography (i photographed an entire catalogue for a new t-shirt brand).

I am a member of London's largest photography club (lpmg.org.uk) and i often help organise club events. I have access to a studio and full studio lighting equipment.

I shoot mostly digital and im a committed Canon user. I also like to use medium format film, and i have experience with wet plate collodoin too.

I would like to join modelmayhem.com to network with other photographers, and to get involved in other photographic projects. I also aim to use this site for casting models for my own projects and work. This seems to be the premiere place online for sourcing models and i look forward to making the best of it.
