I am Shalini Rao, a photographer....I simply love colors...(even black and white are colors) and anything that evokes an emotion in me...be it a thought...a question....even an instant disapproval.....is art !! Something that basically has a life of its own and is not a tricked , mechanical, manipulated piece of acrobatic maneuver with various thousand softwares available in the market. I call it the art that talks to you....

A picture that is capable of telling a story on its own is what interests me in particular........without words....because photography along with music and paintings is the only universal language that can make sense to each and everyone without caring about any cultural, political, or geographical borders.

I mainly deal with portrait and fashion photography, though event photography is also something that intrigues me deeply..
