About Me

WELCOME

Hi there, my name is Ryan Le Bar. I currently reside in Toronto, pursuing my professions in photography, modeling, personal training, and acting. Most recently I have entered the world of photography and find this to be a profession that I am very passionate about. Since the first time I stepped behind a camera, I quickly realized that this is what I was born to do. My unique attention to detail, and keen eye for color and lighting have enabled me to produce work that can speak for itself. There is beauty in the simplest of things, and this is something I like to capture and bring to the attention of others; to see the world through my eyes.

My style can not be easily labeled, as I love to shoot an array of things. Whether I am shooting people, animals, landscapes, or products, I like to create photographs that capture a distinctive beauty. I would describe my photographs as pieces of art. I strive to capture moments that posses a certain type of allure, so when my work is being viewed there is an explicit magnetism generated by the shot.

My inspiration comes from…….. Photographers that I look up to are Rodger Edralin and Gerry Garcia, as they all possess a very unique style.

Please feel free to browse through my photos and send me any comments or critique. I am always looking to learn something new and continue developing my skills as a professional photographer. I hope that you enjoy my work and that perhaps one day you will be standing in front of my lens and have the experience many dream of.

ABOUT ME

I'm from the Northern part of Canada - a small town called Thunder Bay. It has a population of about 120,000 and, unlike me, is very cold during the winter. I moved from Thunder Bay and set off on a most amazing journey. I ended up in Ottawa for a few months; then moved to Toronto in the Year 2000 and times were very hard on me at first.

Moving to such a big city as Toronto - seemed like a billion times bigger than what I had ever seen before is scary enough but arriving here and not knowing a single person was terrifying.

To be a great Model/Actor or Photographer you need to be true to yourself. You cannot think that you will only get a big movie deal if you put out, or land a big campaign if you let people take advantage of you. Yes, at one point in my career I really wanted to be a successful model but after a trip to South Beach my eyes were opened to the lifestyle models can easily and prevalently fall into, not to mention what is expected of these models to obtain work. From personal experience I realized that modeling is not my true passion. However I truly believe that this was an experience that greatly assisted me to become the photographer that I am today.
