About Me

I have had an interest in photography for some time. I initially got my first digital point and shoot in 2004. From there, my love for candid photography took off as I spent time with family and even more with friends, the camera in hand everywhere I went.
I slowly self educated myself in the basics of the practice and in early 2007 purchased my first digital slr. Since then, it has been inquired of me to do paid work, and I have accepted a number of these offers along the way. At the same time, I have been taking classes here and there to develop my craft, shooting leisurely and practicing on my own subjects of choice.
As of late, my focus has become more narrow, having done more work with different mediums in the playground of photography; my love is cemented.

My goal is to take beautiful portraits. I believe the best portraits are those which capture the reality of a person, but I understand the difficulty and the work that such takes. I know this cannot be achieved every single time. I know that mind blowing images don't come day after day, and I have come to experience that the images I love most often come by unplanned circumstances or altogether accidents. In between, I'd like to shoot as many images as I possibly can in hopes that the frequency of said accidents rises.

Also, if I were wealthy, I'd work with film exclusively, but that's just not realistic. In the meantime, I shoot with all sorts of it here and there when things are just going right. I believe the film has some soul in it.
If we ever do work together, expect for me to pull out my film cameras, including my polaroids and run through a few rolls/packs of film.

Natural light is my first love, but I also work with artificial light in strobes and speedlites.

As of now, I'm looking to make a big push in building a diverse and solid portfolio... fine art is my love, but I'm looking to do some fashion, editorial, conceptual and perhaps outrageous creative work. I can offer TFP/TFCD as compensation for those who I contact, unless otherwise stated in our contact. I'm looking to also collaborate and network obviously. If you've got a stellar idea that you want to work out that might cost me some money, and you're willing to make an equal fiscal investment to see it through, I'm all about that too.

I'm here to capture and create, meeting like-minded models and artists along the way.
I think meet-ups are a great idea prior to a shoot as well.
