My name is Derek Shanahan. I am a graduate of Franklin Pierce College in Rindge, NH. I received a bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, & Education. I have always been interested in photography and enjoy developing my skill in this art form. I took several photography courses in college and I have recently taken a growing interest to returning to my artist roots and am currently enrolled in photography courses.
I am looking to expand and build my portfolio, skill, and knowledge as a photographer; to maybe someday pursue this passion as more than just a hobby. My subject matter consists of but not limited to people, animals and landscapes. I feel I have a creative eye for composition and can capture the world in a unique and expressive manner through my photography.
As I stated I have some experience although not extensive. Currently I practice photography as an enthusiastic hobby and am mainly looking for experience and photographs that I can someday use in my portfolio so TFCD is an arrangement I am open to. I am not looking to shoot any specific type of model, I am open for anything to gain experience and work on my photographs.
