About Martionii

Martionii first made his mark on the city of Los Angeles soon after graduating high school. He dreamed of being among the best, most influential designers the fashion capital of the world had to offer because he knew it would help him gain respect among his peers.

Armed with the knowledge he acquired, Martionii soon began hosting fashion shows that attracted thousands of fashionistas, including some of the most revered editors in the industry and beloved celebrities such as Madonna.

Trained at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and the Art Institute University, Martionii has routinely been recognized for his art direction and talents. Before starting his own collection in 2011, he worked for the Robert Rodriguez Collection, which is known for its sophisticated, feminine, contemporary clothing. During his tenure, Martionii was charged with creating the perfectly fitted, fresh silhouettes that style-conscious women had come to expect from the collection each season. The label’s clientele included Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, Angela Bassett, Nicole Kidman and Eva Longoria.

Martionii now operates his own online boutique that exclusively caters to his private clientele who are enamored with his philosophy that exquisitely tailored jackets and trousers can still be created without harming the environment. The Martionii Design Collection only uses natural textiles, including wool, silk, linen, cotton, hemp and recycle fur.

Martionii’s editorial design aesthetic would beautifully compliment the designer brands sold at Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue and Harrods. The Martionii Collection is currently sold exclusively at the Martionii brick-and-motor and online boutiques. [Note: Insert contact information and website MARTIONII.COM

Eco-Friendly Fashion Designer Martionii Partners with PETA
For Immediate Release: 08/27/11

Los Angeles, Calif. – Guided by the belief that tailored couture clothing can be created using eco-friendly materials, fashion designer Martionii exclusively utilizes natural textiles, such as hemp, organic cotton, wool and denim, in his collections. Through a new partnership with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Martionii will once again challenge his talents by transforming recycled mink and fox fur coats into completely new creations.

Once used out of pure necessity for warmth, fur coats became a trendy luxury item in the mid-1800s when fur farms begin providing high quality pelts. Fox and mink stoles were widely used as status symbols by 1940s Hollywood starlets, but a backlash in the 1960s by animal rights activists sent thousands of fur coats into the back of closets.

Martionii can use these guilty little secrets to actually help the environment by recycling them into new clothing. A natural, renewable and biodegradable material, vintage fur can last for hundreds of years, and recycling it can reduce by nearly 50 percent the amount of toxic nitrous oxide emissions produced when creating fake fur.

“I decided to work with PETA to do my part to help stop animal killings,” explains Martionii, who applauds PETA’s encouragement of designers to only use animal-friendly fabrics. “Because each recycled fur is one of a kind, every piece of clothing is an original couture design.”

The Fall 2011 Martionii Fur Collection is sophisticated and well dressed, with the maximum crafmanship and attention to detail. A graduate of the prestigious Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and the Art Institute University, Martionii apprenticed under Robert Rodriguez before launching his own line in 2011. The Los Angeles fashion designer’s fresh, tailored Spring Collection debuted on the runway with high editorial and celebrity praise.
