Christina is well-known for her captivating portraits and her spontaneous imagery.
Her 13 years as a professional photojournalist has earned her national awards and a stellar reputation, including a nomination for the Pulitzer Prize, in feature photography. "My goal is to have a blast with my couples. It's an honor to be a part of their cherished day."

As a young girl,  Christina Hernandez would spend hours gazing at black and white photographs of her mother's childhood. She was mesmerized that through photography, it was possible to actually make time stand still. As a teen, Christina started to capture her own memories on film and watch them magically appear under the dim red light of a darkroom. She's been hooked ever since.

After earning her B.A. in photojournalism, Christina landed a staff position at the San Francisco Examiner and later, the San Francisco Chronicle. Assignments ranged from photographing politicians to movie stars, fires to football. "My photographic experiences were priceless in helping me find a personal style," Christina notes. Her years with newspapers have given her the ability to capture the most candid moments and adapt to any situation.

"Photographing a couple's wedding is the ultimate photostory. I get to photograph an incredible range of emotion and create a documentary of an amazing celebration. I love playing with light and pushing the limits of composition."  In addition, Christina's fine art photography is represented by three West Coast galleries. She loves to fuse her fine art with the classic documentary tradition to make unforgettable wedding imagery.

Christina is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
