Anya Kamarek is a fashion designer based in East London, graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with a Postgraduate Certificate in Innovative Pattern Cutting. Anya's style can be described as inspired by various art influences of architecture, installation, media and photography, and further combined in an individual and well-defined fashion. Anya Kamarek has successfully designed and produced two major lines – AK and MONOCHROME. Monochrome is a conceptual platform that encompasses fashion, art and design, creating innovative visual forms in collaborations with our partners. Our enterprise comprises of Monochrome clothes, accessories and art. Collaborative practice is at the heart of our vision. We are exploring a material and utilitarian aesthetic based on craft and functionality using an unconscious and intuitive approach. Our creations have a timeless quality with a minimalist and monochromatic sensibility. We are interested in creating androgynous fashion and blurring gender distinctions. Our collections combines the masculine and the feminine to facilitate new ways of thinking, feeling and being.
