My journey began with disposable cameras. Eventually I graduated to my dad’s 35mm and fell in love with the grain in Ilford HP5 film. When I finally went digital I knew I still wanted the tactile grit of an analogue system and thus my style was borne out of the misty grayness of Washington skies and old film scans.

My job is to photograph people. I love stories and the people who live them. Environmental portraiture, weddings, destination elopements, “day in the life” families, reality. But variety is my sanity, and to keep from going off the deep end sometimes I need to step away from reality. To experiment with light and movement and concept. That's why I'm here, to find people who want to step out of ordinary life with me.

I like simple things - clouds, tall grass, short lighting. I love printed t-shirts and flannel. I wholeheartedly believe that I create because I was created, and that I inherited my passion and attention to detail from my Creator.
