A native Muscovite, Antonina Izmaylova grew up surrounded by fashion, often accompanying her mother to the world's most stylish boutiques, watching in admiration as she purchased dresses for the ballet and the opera. Antonina's interest for fine art and design started at the age of nine. She recalls being fascinated by textures and the perfection of the female form, roaming the halls of Catherine's Palace and tracing the lines of its finely etched baroque gold mouldings with her fingers. In an effort to translate this feeling of nobility, luxury and timeless beauty into a complete collection, Antonina embarked on pursuing a Bachelor degree in Fashion and Textile Design at London's prestigious Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design. There she learnt to combine her years of intense training in art, sculpture and history with modern textile techniques including laser cutting and digital printing, now a hallmark of the IZMAYLOVA brand.
