About Me

My name is Sophia and I am 23 going on 24 years in November. For years I never considered modeling. Honestly I never thought I was photogenic. I will honestly say that I am a huge fan of watching America's Next Top Model because I think the industry is so fastinating but never thought myself to be one. My main focus has always been working out, being active and always playing sports and for the past five years been studying the martial arts. I am half way to my black belt in Japanese Jujitsu and I would have to say is my biggest passion. Yes you can call me a workout buff, I just love staying in shape.

About a year and a half ago, I was living in Los Angeles for a while where my brother resides as an actor and I went with him on with his photo shoots. He needed to get his headshots updated. The photographer was a contact he met through me because she was a friend of mine. After we were done with his shoot, she started taking pictures just for the fun of it. I have never at this point taken pictures in my life professionally but most of them came out really good! I was so shocked at myself. I then started had a photoshoot around 8 months later with another friend and those pictures came out good as well.

For the past year or so it has been in back of my mind to go ahead and try to have a jumpoff in my modeling career. So that is why I joined Model Mayhem. My brother is also a member on MM so he is the one that recommended the idea.

I thought maybe I can combine my two biggest passions: fitness and modeling. I wanted to see if I can send my photos to fitness magazines and do more active modeling. Besides fitness modeling, I am open to any style of modeling there is out there, I am not picky. The only thing I would refuse to do is nudity.

All I have to say is that besides working out and attending the martial arts, I just have so much fun taking photo shoots! I have done 3 photo shoots in total and when I am in front of the cam I just let myself go and feel so alive and I want to do it more and more. I want to see where this can take me.
