My name is Mae. I am currently working for MAC cosmetics and have been for the last 2 years. I have been doing makeup since I was in high school, for my show choir. Its something that I have always had an extreme passion for. Its very incredible to me that you can completely change your look on a daily basis. Its like how people express themselves with tattoos or piercings but this is so changeable and I adore that about makeup. Id like to move up in my company to be a trainer someday. That seems like my ideal job with makeup. And along the way just doing as many neat things and having as many interesting and knowledgable experiences with makeup that I possibly can. Id say my style is edgy. I tend to get excited about different makeup styles. Working with different color and texture than the average makeup application. Another great thing I really enjoy about being a makeup artist is some of the really interesting people you get to meet and things you get to be involved in. I once got to meet Cheech and Chong and did Shelby Chongs makeup for their show in town. THAT was killer. I also got to do makeup for a young 12 year old girl who developed her own iPhone application and needed pictures for a press release. Really great life experiences. I am a licensed Esthetician. I worked in Indianapolis for a couple different spa/salons doing facials, waxing, massage, and most importantly makeup. I found that my calling was very obviously in makeup and not those other skills. I also worked for Sephora while in Indy as well. MAC cosmetics has always had my heart so I moved back to Fort Wayne to pursue employment there. I have now been working for them for 2 years and absolutely love it. Im just really interested in meeting new people, learning new techniques, and sharing my knowledge with others!
