Friends (34)About Me
On October 10th 1980 I was born in Munich and grew up there too. As a child Boris Becker, the infamous Wimbledon champion, had been my Idol. I always wanted to be as cool and successful as him. That time I did a pictorial for childrenâs fashion. Then I went to school and that dream had to give way to another career of being a good student.
When, from all different kinds of schools, which gave me a greater perspective about cultures of the world, I went to high school, a theater course had been offered there. I chose to join because of, let me be honest, the easy to get A+ to lift up my average grade. So I expected to get the good grades, which I did, but then something was there which I did not expect. After two years of school plays I got hooked to acting. Thus, after graduating in y2k I immediately took up acting classes in a variety of schools. In Munich I went to âArtemisâ an acting school managed by former actress Marlene Beck. Parallel to it I joined Lee Strasberg seminars under Wolfgang Schatz. During that time I made my first TV-camera experience, in the TV series âAlexander Holdâ, which was a learning playground for me. Then came a public play in the âInterim Theaterâ in Munich, at which I got my first professional stage experience. At the same time, as my acting education went on, I had the chance to appear in a special episode in the show of one of Philippines greatest showmasters âHerman Morenoâ. After my performance there, several managers approached me and offered me to work with them. With their help I started doing commercials there, and even, not typical in the Philippines, for several high class products at the same time. So I played the lead roles in commercials for âRexonaâ, âBank of Philippine Islandsâ and for two of their highest quality and most wanted products, âClose Upâ and âNescaféâ. The Nescafé spot was awarded the most beautiful commercial in Asia, referring to my manager. I donât know where to check that. Then I also did print ads for âFordâ, âTrixâ and Nescafé again. After this, people started recognizing me on the street, which let me have some hilarious situations. Although Close Up and Nescafé are known as âstar makersâ in the Philippines, I decided to give my priority to my acting school for now. Thus, I flew back to Germany and continued my studies. After all I want to be a good actor, not only another face on the market. After passing the test at my acting school, I went to Berlin to learn more, different things from different teachers. There I met âWolfgang Stegemannâ a stunt coordinator and performer, who performed in international and U.S. films like âAeon Fluxâ and âV for Vendettaâ. With him was âAlister Mazottiâ who also played a role in âV for Vendettaâ and who was the stunt and special effects coordinator for âThe Pianistâ. They taught me the art of swordplay and martial arts in front of the camera. Now I know how to move. A little demonstration of my skills can be seen in a video clip on my âVideoâ page. After another one and a half years of acting school, a role in the TV series âStreit um Dreiâ, some dubbing for âArena Synchronâ and âDeutsche Synchronâ, a moderation of a fashion show in Potsdam, being in charge of a childrenâs acting course, and passing of my exams at that school, I went back to Munich. Still, after three years of acting and acting school, giving me very useful experiences I felt something missing in my way of acting. Only that I didnât know what it was. Another role came in the Philippine independent film âiSnatsâ(Director: Mike Dagnalan) on big screen, which also can be found at IMDB... although they spelled my name the wrong way. grrrr. Typos! Then came a role in the German independent film âArchangelâ. But even after that, I was not happy with my way of acting and tried to figure out the problems. The solution however came with âThe Studioâ former âHollywood Acting Workshopâ in L.A. managed by Petra Gallasch. The teachers there, Bjorn Johnson, Fred Johntz, Cherolyn Franklin, Sam Christensen, Jim Gleason, just to name some, you know who Iâm talking about anyway, made a big change in my acting style. True acting I found only in Hollywood. There must be a reason for Hollywood to be the greatest film metropolis in the world, huh! I am so grateful for having learned from the greatest. When I came back to Germany I felt more ready to act than ever before and many times I got proof that I had improved worlds from where I was standing before. Then I attended two courses at the âHFFâ in Munich, held by Mark Travis. After all this, I concentrated on my ânormalâ job since I needed to survive, my private life, and work as cutter at our biggest pay TV station âPremiereâ. So except for roles in the series âSpass Rot Goldâ, âGalileoâ, a commercial for âC&Aâ, one for âWhisperâ in the Philippines, a commercial film for âSiemensâ, and a role in a project film of the âHFFâ Munich, I didnât do that much. ......................... Then came the big bang! End of September 2007 having a good time in the Philippines, in darkness and rain (slippery when wet, Iâll never forget that.), I fell down from a party-balcony... at the seventh floor. The only parked car on that side of the house saved my life. So now I needed some time to recover, but in that time I could work on my inner life, find balance and reset my priorities. At long last I know there is only one thing that can give my heart what it needs... and that is ACTING! I am here to pursue my dream. So letâs get ready for some action!
