Design philosophy:

The main philosophy We try to live by as closely as possible is 'freedom'. Even though creativity is innate and cannot be taught, freedom to express plays a huge part in the development process. When harnessing your creativity throughout life it can have its disadvantages as well as its advantages. I don’t know whether it has something do with my personality type or the fact I have dyslexia (according to my psychologist) but unintentionally I would find myself becoming a rebel in a lot of situations, conforming was not my forte. As a young adolescent this gave me problems from time to time within the curriculum. I left school and college with decent grades but I know I could have done so much better if I just followed the set guidelines they gave to me. Education was and is about being fed with generic information and absorbing it. I was about trying alternative methods, exploring and discovering this is where the clashes occurred.
Now I am older I have learnt from my previous decisions. My photography and design are now self-taught. This is a personal preference for me because I have the freedom to try anything at anytime and along as I stay passionate about the art learning technicalities is not a problem. That’s why we have books and the internet right? However to be successful in photography there’s a number of areas that needs to be covered and Business is one of them. I am currently taking a degree in business and marketing. Fingers crossed soon I will have the full package.
I still feel I am discovering myself and my own style as a photographer but there are some concepts that I try out. Take a look at my photos and they’ll be a description for each one. Enjoy!
