You're back! Good.

I'm located in Neapolis Ohio, just south of Toledo and my 'real' job is working as a special education teacher. I've been a photographer in various aspects of my life for years and have finally settled on portrait and environmental photography as both an artform and hobby, as well as a part time business. I tend to specialize in children and young adults, but I'm happy to do anything within reason that is age appropriate. I prefer to shoot outdoors, but also have a studio available in Toledo at the Collingwood Arts Center.

I'm happy to do TFDVD shoots if they are special, interesting, local, or will add to my portfolio but I'm getting picky due to time restraints. If it won't help me, then I may charge, but I'm cheap and easy. :) If I'm not suited for the type of photography you're looking for, I'll tell you that up front. I tend toward realism, nature, personality and themes. Glamour and glitz is simply not my style.

I specialize in headshots and portraits, and in more artistic or fun shoots. I enjoy shooting themes such as fairy tales or other fantasy topics. I am happy to do groups, couples, and I love taking pictures of children (after teaching for 14 years, I relate better to the under 18 crowd at times!). Any photography involving anyone under 18 will require a parent to be present, and to sign a model release.

I'm also shooting medium format film and black and white prints are possible! I'll be moving to 4x5 in the near future.

I am VERY happy to work with you and your ideas. Nothing is too dull or too strange to consider!

One benifit of having a teacher as a photographer - I come complete with an FBI and State of Ohio background check! LOL... I taught in the UK for almost 6 years, so I have clearance from the London Metro Police as well. :)

- I only do age appropriate photography (this comes from being a teacher and a father of a 10 and 15 year old!). No, I will not take pictures of an 9 year old in high heels, makeup, and a cocktail dress. I know lots of photographers will, but I won't. I prefer my younger ladies to look like younger ladies.
