Since he was a child, Romano has enjoyed the company of some of the most recognizable personalities in Hollywood. Growing up with a hippy mom and record producing step father had given rise to Romano’s progressive creativity that is personified in the way he goes about his business of cutting hair. After moving to Hollywood in his early teens, Romano finished high school to work at Fred Segal on Melrose Ave. During his tenure at the landmark fashion boutique, Romano dressed some of the biggest names in music and entertainment- names like Aerosmith, Scorpions, Loverboy, Joan Jett, and Marlee Mairlin were regular clients. It was that interaction and experience that led him to his current path, as the years at the shopping destination, placing others creative designs on people got him thinking about the next level for him.

Desiring a change, Romano followed his creativity into beauty school, where he graduated not with honors- but with style...and style is what counts in the town he calls home. Soon after Romano Began working at the renowned Estilo Salon- it was a golden opportunity, and he didn’t waste it. While at Estilo Salon on Beverly Boulevard, Romano frequently worked with the cast of Frasier and Friends, Depeche Mode, and Kiss. After styling the Backstreet Boys, Incubus, Nine Inch Nails, Darryl Hannah, Christina Ricci, and Steve Martin. With an impressive resume building and a god-given talent, he was on his way.

He’s back at Estilo now, but not after sojourns in other salons- all the while attracting that in-demand celebrity clientele. He’s sought after in other areas now too, as Romano’s signature good looks and keen insight make him in demand as the Hollywood go to guy for television shows and print commentary, currently working with shows like Extreme Makeover, Fashion Team, and American Idol.
