We often can't help but wonder why despite there being such easy access to video these days, people still can't help but hold a fondness for photography. When you stop to consider how completely inundated we all are by the vast amounts of fleeting moments, the answer to the question should come as no real surprise. There truly is a certain magic to the way a photograph freezes a single moment, allowing us to focus on nothing more than that moment itself. Whether that moment is simply to help us remember that day, or who we were, or who was there to help us witness that particular moment in life. It's a small record, that we were there, when there are so many things that go by that become too easy to forget. Perhaps it's the fascination of saving these moments in people's lives that drives us to do what we do at Independent Photography. To freeze these beautiful, epic, emotional, exciting or the myriad of other details that make up our days and can't help but pass all too quickly. The same details we all are compelled to chronicle adding to the chapters in our personal stories and must share with the world. There is something fulfilling in what we capture, something that turns what we do into something more than just a job.
