About Me

Located in Southern Utah.

I have a passion to create, and I'm fascinated with the tools and technologies of creativity.I strive to produce images that are graphically simple, technically precise and vibrantly colored in order to render beautiful photographic fine art prints.

I'm old fashioned in that I still believe that the purpose of photography is to produce a finished print. There's something special about a beautifully produced print. It's something you can touch, and it doesn't need any special technology to be enjoyed.

I'm modern in that I have fully embraced digital technology in my photo art, and Photoshop is now an indispensable part of my creative process.

I'm independent in that I like to do things myself. While many photographers have outsourced retouching and printing, I like to perform each step in the creative process. I've invested in high quality professional printers in order to produce state of the art prints up to 44 by 72 inches.

I enjoy learning and sharing. Continuing to learn is one of the most exciting aspects of any hobby, and the rapid pace of change in photography provides a wealth of learning opportunities. I also enjoy sharing what I've learned over the years.

I was recently featured by WTVP-TV for their series "Illinois: Art in the Works"

TF shoots - I'm generally willing to do TF shoots if I'm available and we have a common vision for the theme of the shoot. I feel my normal terms are very generous:

Nude: Choose up to 5 images to be delivered as high-res files (8X10 inch).

Non-nude: Choose up to 3 images to be delivered as high-res files (8X10 inch).

All TF sessions: TF shoots are generally to build your portfolio, or just a creative excercise. However, I also believe that if I end up making any money from the images then we should all make money. I'll commit to share any profits I realize from the images in the future, up to a reasonable session amount.

Or, if you'd rather not gamble on future payments, I'll give you a large-format print (up to 16X20 inches) of any one of your free images. Larger prints are also available at greatly reduced prices.

"Craig is a great photographer to work with! He's very professional, polite, and very skilled. I always feel comfortable and at ease shooting with him. He has some rad concepts of his own (like the Woven Smoke series we're working on) as well as working with the model for what they want to shoot. I loved shooting with him the two times I have and am excited for a bunch more!" - December
