About Me

Im new to photography, and most of my experience is in landscapes and nature. I'd like to work with models in order to learn more about photography from a different angle. I think that working with different genres will open my eyes to different techniques and make me think about photography in a new way. I have a few (actually many) project ideas of my own, and am eager to hear what yours may be!

What Im (currently) looking for:

*Diversity- Looking to expand my portfolio with different models and (possibly more importantly) different ideas. Very interested in other ideas or projects you may have as a model. I had a blast doing the shoots Ive done, and am totally willing to do shoots like that again! However, doing something a little different holds a special appeal at the moment.

*TFP- Photography is a hobby. I am capable of sinking a little money into it, but at the moment Id rather sink that money into better equipment BEFORE I spend it on a model. Its not that I think you arent worth your rate. Its just that I want the experience to back up and justify me paying it.

*Fun- I do this on my days off. I assume its your day off too. Lets act like it. Im easy to get along with, I love to laugh and have a good time. Clearly our goal is to get some great shots, but to me its more important that I enjoy my time out, and you do too. Its always a little awkward meeting new people, but I think that if were comfortable around one another, and were enjoying ourselves, it will show through in the work we produce. Lets have some fun with this!

What I am:

*New- Im learning. Im figuring things out. Sometimes I need a minute to get the settings right. You'll need to have some patience as I dial it in

*Minimalistic- I have some very basic equipment. I dont have a 10,000 dollar studio, or crazy light system, or a supercomputer with outstanding editing software. I have a simple camera (Canon Rebel Xsi, if you care), a tripod, and some really basic photo editing software that I use to touch photos up once in a while, but not drastically alter. I strongly prefer to get the perfect shot while Im out in the field (That should be my photographer philosophy). I dont like to heavily edit my photos, and would prefer not to edit them at all. Some of my best shots have been accomplished using just this camera, and a tree branch for a tripod.

Id love to hear some new ideas! Lets do some shooting!
