I am the owner, operator of Black Work Studio, a gritty illustration/design studio in Manhattan est 1994. When tattooing became legal in New York City in February of 1997 I officially made this medium available at Black Work Studio. I'm a licensed tattoo artist and I've been tattooing professionally for over two decades. I received scholarship and graduated from The School of Visual Arts in New York City, one of the country's most acclaimed institutions. I starting tattooing underground while in college. Although I am trained as a classical fine artist's I try to keep my work unique and in a style that helps define that which is American underground art. Affluent collectors and top executives from Fortune 500 companies such as FedEx, ABC and by members of the Grand Lodge of New York's Masonic Order are only a few collectors who enjoy my diversity as an artist. As an accomplished graphic designer I have worked with clients such as Kodak, Ralph Loren, Johnson & Johnson, Lockheed Martin and ABC News. My work has also been featured in publications throughout the country and I have been recognized in the internationally acclaimed Japanese GQ as one of NYC premier tattoo artists. From 2000-2006 I taught commercial art at the High School of Graphic Communication Arts, which is New York City's leading commercial art public high school. My work has been shown in galleries in NYC and Israel.
