Photography is a passion of mine, it is a creative outlet that lets my soul breath. But it is not the only passion I have and thus I am sometimes caught up amongst my other hobbies, or just in life, that I can not always devote the amount of time that I'd like to photography. I anticipate that sometime in the near future that will change so I am updating my MM to reflect how I have developed as an artist in the years that have passed.
I am mostly a self portrait artist and the small bit of experience I have working with models is admittedly amongst the comfort of friends. I am a perfectionist when it comes to my images and will go to any length to get the perfect shot. I do not ask my models/friends to do anything that I would not do for a photo, although that does not leave much. You need only browse through my portfolio to see images where I've nearly submerged myself in freezing water or wrapped a freshly skinned deer hide around my body. I have been fortunate enough to have friends who would also go to just about any length for a photograph, no matter how ridiculous the idea may seem. But it is in the name of art, and always very tastefully done. And that is what we are all here for, so hopefully in the future I will be able to work with some of you. Until then I will be working on updating my portfolio so when the time comes I am ready.
I love to create other worlds within a frame. Thought provoking as well as emotionally charged images. I want the viewer to feel something, anything, when they look at my photograph. To me the best photos are those that draw you in, the ones that give you goosebumps, but you can't quite place your finger on why, those are the images that I love to create, whether they be complex or simple.
